In July, we welcomed Ollie, a squirmy piece of royalty, newly adopted by E and T.
Anne came in from Omaha for a conference in Boston and we spent a perfect day with her at fantastic places, like Anchovies, The Beehive, and Parish Cafe for martinis and oysters and a sandwich called "Elephant Walking on Eggs." The visit was great.
In nyc for a weekend, we took a trip to Inwood--where Chris and I used to live, a wander through Inwood Park, lunch at Garden cafe fwith the family, and a visit with Tommy at Piper's Kilt.

Then to a Mets game in the relentless summer sun.
My parents visited over July 4th...fireworks in India Point Park, a trip to Horseneck, beads at Elizabeth's, and grilling and grilling and grilling.
I love this place early on Saturdays before anyone arrives. Its beautifully open and completely peaceful.
