Canoeing in downtown Providence
Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council holds paddles all over RI in the summer and fall. If I could go to all of them, I would. This was our second. Last year we paddled in a reservoir (here) and this year, we paddled in a canoe (unlike the majority of the group who elected to skim along in kayaks) through downtown Providence. We worked our butts off and banged into a few big iron Water Fire sconces. All in all, it was insane and I loved it. So much so, that when given the opportunity to paddle around in a rowboat in Little Compton the following week, I dove in with reckless abandon. I'll get those pics up soon. All of these photos were taken on my phone.
