Who knew...Nebraska ROCKS! We had a really great week in Omaha with my two favorite people, Anne & Ashley. There's nothing better than spending time with people know you better than you know yourself & let you be exactly who you are. Here's a rundown:
- We unpacked (very few!) boxes. Our services were needed for other, more important things...
- We drank way too much red wine and vodka (though not together).
- We grilled up some of the best meals I think I've ever had (thank you Ashley!).
- In exploring Omaha, Chris ate a deep fried whole fish.
- We found great goodies at an antique shop.
- I forced everyone to watch Project Runway on Wednesday night (because of this).
- We tracked down eclectic little neighborhoods (hi Brigitte, at Pulp).
- We chilled out in the Old Market.
- We ate Pop-Rocks and handmade malt balls.
- We sang resounding renditions of the J.G. Wentworth opera jingle.
- And we laughed so much we cried. Though, it was way-better than Cats.
Yes, this is Chris' deep-fried fish. Whole. He had already broken into it, but I had to share.
