In Providence today, local community organizers gathered at the RI State House for the "Growing Healthy Communities"
rally. The group is lobbying for (1) tenant protection against foreclosures, (2) the use of federal stimulus funds for affordable housing, and (3) the reinstatement of RI's
Neighborhood Opportunities Program.
Street Sights had a number of staff members in attendance (including myself), as well as a booth set up on the second floor. 100+ people in attendance, working to improve the community and each others' living conditions...I'll load up more photos tomorrow.
